Rebecca Fortman
Treasurer
Rebecca and her husband, John, have been married for 12 years. They have 2 girls Layla and Isabella age 5 and 7. She was born in Dekalb County, grew up in Corunna, moved away and found her way back in 2012. She graduated from Huntington University with her Bachelor’s degree and went back in 2015 to Trine University for her MBA. She started my career in personal – small business finance, switched to Manufacturing and Engineering Software Sales for several years, and decided her true niche was in finance, however, blending the 2 into manufacturing finance. She is currently the Treasury and Accounting Manager for TydenBrooks Security Products Group. She manages the finance shared services team and all treasury and bank related aspects over their 3 US manufacturing facilities, 1 in MX, 1 in Canada, and 1 in the UK.
At home she enjoys swimming, traveling, and small animal farming. They have 20 chickens, 2 cats, 2 goats, and 2 bunnies. She and John are always looking forward to new things to teach their girls whether it be about animals, new places, etc. John is an engineer, so he enjoys building pretty much anything with the girls help. Their youngest is deaf, aided through cochlear implants, so they are very involved in the DHH community as well. They love Auburn. They enjoy all the family events held downtown. They love their neighbors and are close to just about all of them even though they are in the country and acres separate them. Rebecca enjoys making new friends and helping others both known and unknown to her. She looks forward to becoming more involved in the Dekalb community in a more direct way and seeing how her past business and social experiences might help.
