Our annual Duesys was held Thursday, November 14, 2024 with a disco-inspired theme. This year’s event was held at the Kruse Plaza.

The Duesy Awards is an annual gala hosted by the DeKalb Chamber Partnership to honor our members and recognize their contributions to business, community, and education. One of DeKalb County's most anticipated events, the 2024 Duesy Awards showcased a sampling of local eateries, catering from the executive chef of Kruse Plaza, and all the fun of a 70s disco theme!

Plus, attendees got to participate in a 50/50 Raffle hosted by Young Professionals DeKalb County!

The DeKalb Awards for Excellence in Business, Community, and Education were hosted by the DeKalb Chamber Partnership. The community is asked to submit nominations. Organizations and individuals must be members in good standing of the DeKalb Chamber Partnership to be eligible and cannot have won in the last 5 years. The Chamber board of directors reviews all eligible nominations and determines the finalists and winners.

  • Volunteer of the Year: Natalie DeWitt

  • Nonprofit of the Year: Heimach Center

  • Outstanding Public Service Award: Mike Watson

Christie Browning

Christie is a five-time HSPA award-winning writer with a long resume of creative, compelling writing. Her background includes journalism and marketing, which allows her to bring a specialized voice to the pieces created for her clients. On her own, Christie has written for newspapers, online magazines and major publications. For her clients, Christie produces web designs, press and media releases, blog articles, downloadable worksheets and flyers as well as social media content. Her long-time career as an entrepreneur gives her unique insight into what her clients need to promote their products, services and messages.
