Cancer Services of NE Indiana elects new board members, thanks outgoing members

FORT WAYNE, IN. – Cancer Services welcomes the following board members in 2025: Melissa Eshbach (Star Technologies, Garrett), Malak Heiny (City of Fort Wayne), Kyle Johnson (Brotherhood Mutual), and Abraham Parkison (Brotherhood Mutual).

Nikki Phillips (McMahon’s Best One) completed her introductory year and has been elected to the board for a full term.

The Board of Directors has also elected the following executive committee members: Dr. Diane Calinksi (Manchester University School of Pharmacy) – Chair Dr. Carla MacDonald (Huntington University) – Vice Chair Abraham Parkison (Brotherhood Mutual) – Treasurer Laura Lefever (Whitley County resident) – Secretary

The following board members have fulfilled the ends of their terms and will be leaving the board at the end of 2024: Deb Durnell (STAR Bank), Marc Leveridge (Retired), Sharon Simmons (Retired), Ed Souers (G&L Corporation), Matt Stout (Forvis Mazars), and Cory Swagger (Swagger Law).

Cancer Services extends deepest gratitude to these board members who have given so much to the organization during their tenures.

Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of those affected by cancer by providing meaningful resources, information, and compassionate assistance.
