The DeKalb Chamber Partnership: Serving Every Corner of Our County

One of the things that I am continually reminded of as we approach the end of 2024 and look ahead to 2025 is just how deeply the DeKalb Chamber Partnership serves every part of this county. While we are rooted in Auburn, our mission extends well beyond city limits. The chamber’s history stretches back through many years of collaboration and growth, from when it began as a small organization in Auburn to the county-wide partnership it is today. We now stand as a resource and advocate for businesses throughout all of DeKalb County, and that’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

Our county is made up of a vibrant patchwork of towns and communities, each with its own unique character and needs. That’s why one of my biggest priorities is ensuring that every business, from the heart of Auburn to the wonderful small businesses in towns like Waterloo, Garrett, and Ashley, feels seen and supported. These outer communities are not just a part of our mission; they are at the core of what makes DeKalb County such a special place to live and work.

Last night was a perfect reminder of this as we celebrated the grand opening of a fantastic new small business, British Bites, in Waterloo. It wasn’t just another ribbon-cutting; it felt like a true community event, with local leaders, neighbors, and friends coming together to support a new chapter for this business. Moments like these highlight why the chamber’s work is so important—not just for Auburn but for every town and village in our county. Our work with partners like the DeKalb Visitors Bureau and the county’s economic development team is a testament to our shared commitment to lifting up the entire county. Together, we are stronger.

As we move forward, I want to emphasize that the DeKalb Chamber Partnership is here for every business and every person in DeKalb County. Whether you’re in Waterloo, Garrett, or the surrounding areas, our chamber is committed to helping your business succeed, your community thrive, and your voice be heard.

Let's stay connected!
