DCP Board Application
Do you want to be considered for the Chamber's Board of Directors? You can submit an application at any time to express interest in serving. If no seat is currently open, your application will be evaluated by the nominating committee the next time a seat becomes available.
The board of directors is comprised of 15 business, community, and education leaders serving DeKalb County. To be eligible you must be a member of the Chamber in good standing. Our board meets the third Thursday of each month at 11:30. Board members serve up to 2, 3 year terms. Ideal candidates would be leaders in their business, have a strong understanding of their industry and how it impacts the community, and be ready and willing to serve the Chamber at the highest level. By submitting this form I agree to allow my name to be submitted for consideration of nomination to the DeKalb Chamber Partnership Nominating Committee for possible election to the Board of Directors.
If I am elected to the Board of Directors, I agree to do the following:
1. Commit to a 3 year term or the remainder of an unexpired term
2. Prepare for board meetings by reviewing all materials ahead of the meeting
3. Attend and engage in board meetings the 3rd Thursday of every month, (11:30 - 12:30 at the Chamber office) and special meetings as may be required
4. Support special events coordinated by the Chamber
5. Attend the annual Duesy Awards the 2nd Thursday of November
6. Act on the best interest of the Chamber and its membership
7. Maintain the confidentiality of all Board meetings and disclose all conflicts of interest
8. Accept the responsibility of any assignments
9. Maintain Chamber membership in good standing
10. Serve on at least 1 committee or task force
11. Attend the Board Orientation
